Zinara Rathnayake is a writer, journalist, editor and social media content creator based in Asia. Her work largely focuses on travel, food and culture. Her writing has been published in New York Times, Bon Appétit, BBC Travel, CNN Travel, The Guardian, Atlas Obscura, American Express, Fodor’s, The New Zealand Herald, Popular Science, Singapore Airlines, Food52 and other digital and print publications. Her story Girls Make Waves for Silk Air, April 2019 issue won an Award of Excellence (for writing) at the Communicator Awards in New York, 2020.
